Musical Chairs

Sit or Be Eliminated #

Musical Chairs is a classic and energetic elimination game. As music plays, players walk around a circle of chairs. When the music stops, everyone must race to sit down, but there’s always one chair too few. The last player standing is eliminated, and one chair is removed. The game continues until one winner remains.

How to Play #

Arrange chairs in a circle, with one fewer chair than there are players. Start the music and have players walk around the chairs. When the music stops abruptly, players must find a chair to sit in. The one left without a chair is out. Remove one chair and repeat until only one player remains.

Rules #

Chair Count: Always have one less chair than the number of players.

No Holding Chairs: Players may not hover or block others from sitting.

Fair Start: Players must walk during music. No running or lingering too close to chairs.

Music Randomness: The person controlling the music must stop it unpredictably. They cannot spectate.

Elimination: The last person standing after each round is out.

Victory: The last player to sit wins.
