Stack 'Em Cold #

Minute Snowmen is a fast and funny dexterity game where players race against the clock to build as many snowmen as possible—using only chopsticks. With three marshmallows per snowman and a strict one-minute timer, it’s a true test of balance, coordination, and speed. No hands are allowed, and the other hand (not holding the chopstick) must be behind the back.

You may also have a race for teams to be the first to build a set amount of snowmen (three is a good number).

How to Play #

Each player is given a pile of mini marshmallows and a pair of chopsticks. When the timer starts, players must build as many snowmen as they can by stacking three marshmallows on top of each other. Only stacks completed with all three pieces count. The player with the most full snowmen at the end of one minute wins.

Rules #

Three-Stack Rule: A snowman must have three marshmallows stacked to count. No partial points.

• No Hands Allowed: Players must keep one hand behind their back while stacking.

• Fallen Snowmen: If a stack of marshmellows fall (including those that already had a stack of three), will have to be rebuilt to be counted.

Time Limit: Players have exactly one minute per round.

Tiebreaker: In the event of a tie, do a 30-second bonus round.

Materials #

Materials Required

• Marshmallows: Enough for at least 9 per player.

• Chopsticks: One pair per player.

• Timer: Stopwatch, phone timer, or hourglass.

Setup #

Setup Instructions:

1. Distribute Marshmallows: Give each player a pile of marshmallows.

2. Hand Out Chopsticks: One pair per player.

3. Explain the Rules: Go over the stacking rules and time limit.

4. Start the Timer: On “go”, players have one minute to build as many full snowmen as possible.
