Mini RC Race
Tiny Cars, Big Glory #
Mini RC Race is a silly and fun racing game where players use miniature remote-control cars to navigate a short homemade track. Using inexpensive Hot Wheels-style RC cars and plastic bins or containers as barriers, the goal is simple: finish the lap fastest without wiping out.
How to Play #
Players take turns racing their mini RC car around the track. Each run is timed, and the fastest clean run wins. If a car flips or leaves the track, the run is invalid and must be restarted. You can choose a single-lap sprint or a multi-lap endurance mode depending on time and battery life.
Rules #
Track Boundaries: Cars must stay within the plastic container lane walls. Leaving the track invalidates the run. You may also set up walls to keep the cars from driving out.
No Interference: Players cannot touch the cars after the start until their run ends.
Clean Run: If the car flips or fails to complete the course, the run must restart.
Battery Fairness: All cars should be fully charged or fresh before each run.
Materials #
Materials Required
-
Mini RC Cars: Hot Wheels-style remote control cars, ideally the same model for fairness.
-
Plastic Containers: Rectangular bins or plastic barriers to form the track walls.
-
Tape or Markers: To indicate start and finish lines.
-
Timer: Stopwatch or phone timer to track run times.
-
Colored Stickers: If the cars are all the same model/color, use colored stickers for the players to keep track of which cars are theirs in a multi-car race.
-
Batteries/Chargers: Ensure each car is ready to run before each race.
Setup #
Setup Instructions:
-
Build the Track: Arrange plastic containers into a winding track layout on the floor. Use tape to mark the start/finish line.
-
Test the Course: Ensure it’s wide enough for the cars to pass but tight enough for challenge.
-
Assign Cars: Give each player a fully charged mini RC car and controller.
-
Explain the Rules: Clarify the lap goals, invalid runs, and timing method before racing begins.
