Capture the Flag
Snatch the Victory #
Capture the Flag is a classic outdoor game that involves strategy teamwork, and lots of running. It pits two teams (or more if set up) against each other, each with the objective to capture the other team's flag and bring it back to their territory without being tagged.
How to Play #
The playing field is divided into two equal halves, with each team's flag placed at their end. Players attempt to sneak into the opposing team’s territory, grab the flag, and make it back to their side safely. If tagged by an enemy in their territory, they must perform a task or stay in a designated area until freed by a teammate.
Variations
-
Night Play: Use glow sticks or flashlights for an exciting night-time version.
-
Multiple Flags: Each team has multiple flags to increase the game's difficulty.
-
Multiple Teams: If the space permits, you can setup multiple teams against each other as a free-for-all gamemode.
Rules #
Team Setup: Divide players into two teams.
Boundaries: Clearly define and mark the territory boundaries for each team.
Flag Placement: Place two flags in a bucket at the back of each team's territory.
Tagging Rules: - Tags must be placed on the outermost layer of clothing; tucking in tags is prohibited. - Players must tag opponents by gently pulling the tag off the belt. - If tagged, raise your hands, pick up your tag, and walk to the enemy jail that tagged you. Hands must not be raised unless tagged.
Flag Handling: - Throwing the dodgeball flags is not allowed. Violations will result in a point deduction for your team. - If you capture a flag, you must run back to your territory without getting tagged. If tagged, hand the flag to the defender, who will then return it to their bucket.
Jail Rules: - Tagged players are sent to a designated "jail" area. - Players can be freed from jail by a teammate who runs to the jail; upon freeing a player, both the rescuer and the freed player must walk back with hands raised to their own territory before resuming play.
Safe Zone Activities: - Upon entering the safe zone, players must choose to either save a teammate from jail or attempt to steal a flag from the enemy's bucket. - Saving a player from jail is guaranteed safety for both the rescuer and the rescued player during their return to their territory.
Winning: The game ends when the timer ends and the team with the most amount of flags, wins.
